Yeah, but he wasn't brought in as a consultant. He was already with the company, working in the capacity of both Financial Advisor and Co-company Secretary, when they changed his position to that of acting Chief Financial Officer.
They obviously felt that with his 30 plus years in financial reporting, he'd be a good fit for that role.
