Ah yes Deansy - 1998 a classic year, get on board Penfolds 1998 Bin 389, a superb wine indeed. The word on the street is 'Syrah' is the key ATM - or as us Aussie's say, shiraz. But i do prefer a Cabernet Sauvignon over a shiraz - Moss Wood make a great Cab Sauv as do Cullen - both with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the latter with a larger inclusion (up to 25%) of Merlot to even out and soften the palate and add floral notes to a sweet, spicy & lingering finish.
