Dividends had only whimsically been thought about by me where Brainchip is concerned.

I used to make this point to my small business clients. Overheads determine profit. It might be nice to say at a party that you are turning over $10 million dollars per annum but that is about the only value it will have if you have overheads running at 99.5% of turnover.

The IP model which Brainchip is pursuing as the former CEO stated will run a profit margin in the order of 95% to 97% and so for every million dollars of sales $950,000 will be profit.

At the moment with about 1.7 billion shares on issue if the company turns over 2 billion dollars in sales that will be a dividend potentially greater than $1.00 per share which is more than even Get rich quick paid.

Certainly we would all get our investment back and have money left over to pay the tax on the first year of $1.00 dividends.

These are of course like the numbers in a shonky real estate pyramid scheme colour glossy brochure totally without foundation at this stage, but in the next six to twelve months we will find out just how close to reality they could turn out to be in time.
