If you say they are planning for bad times since demerger from BHP, how did they end up with a begging bowl in Canberra , asking for the tax payers to bail them out. After demerger they had a good 5 years of billion dollar profits , these guys are reactive , only act in a crisis situation, this co. is so top heavy ,you could sack half those managers you wouldn't even know they were there , but the leadership in this business tend to look after each other , only a hand full would work in the interest of the co.
