NAF....you should read "Market Wizards" by Jack Schwager. He has interviewed more successful traders than anyone else I have ever heard of. To put it sweetly - he completely disagrees with your contempt towards technical analysis and he started off as a fundamental guy.
The truth is that it is a complimentary tool and everyone I know on this site that uses it such as Pirate and myself - we both have strong fundamental views that supersede any technicals we might lay on top of it. Keep an open mind...be sceptical, but not close minded. When technical analysis works, it really works.....you have to know when to use it and when to disregard it. My recent call (stochastics buy at 2.20) didn't work. So what! The previous three calls worked like a charm.....DYOR
