1. Directors are purchasing share in order to raise money from the company. Buying from the market means, they are paying for already existed shares, so money is not going to the company rather to existing shareholders.
2. Novonix has already raised enough money from the instos. They just had the SPP to provide opportunity to retail shareholders. As the share price is volatile, there is no point having a spp at lower price to raise money they don't need. Needless to say, this will hamper company's future image.
