    i fully agree with you dharry---it is a shame to lose this one out of the portfolio. i also accepted the offer, grudgingly i'll admit. It was the only way to go.

    i still think they'll let the offer end and not move to full acquisition as they said that was their intention from the start.

    either way, they control the company and can do whatever they like whether they have 80% or 100%. iif the offer ends and the price falls back, i will be back in to ride on their coattails.

    As for WHC, it is doing very well after the merger failed. I think the combined GCL-WHC would have been a juggernaut with the synergies of coal blending that were available. Too bad we'll never know.
