SP . Price movement, page-1459

I am not sure if you read my post properly, but I said I bought all my shares back already at roughly a 20% discount. So if the SP rallies 30% why would I be shitting bricks when I have around the same amount of shares as I did two weeks ago plus an extra pile of cash in my account?

Also, I've held my shares for much longer than 12 months, so I get a 50% CGT discount.

As I said before, whenever you sell, whether it is now or next year, or whatever, you will need to pay tax.

Some people might find it beneficial to realise some gains now if their taxable income is low, some might not.

This is not a forum for tax advice so don't assume tax is always a reason not to sell. Sometimes it is a very good reason to sell, but everyone needs to consider their own situation.
