A friend of mine a few years back thought about this as a way to make precious metals "real" to the public as they are basically still not evolved. So it is actually nice to see it happen.

Regarding the article:

You would think the writer could think of better reasons than a donkey pooping gold for the “German fascination with gold”. Lets see….. What about Weimar Germany hyperinflation for example!
