Didn't buy one litre of Roundup here because I carried cheap inventory from 2008 before the first big price jump ... lots of farmers here in WA did the same to manage tax last year and avoid what looked like painfall herbicide costs arriving. Similar story for fertilizer. If Rathborne says this happened in the East I would believe him.
Farmers are now back to hand to mouth ... will they take advantage of $6/L glyphosate prior to tick over into the new tax year. My feeling if any herbicides are to be pre-purchased for tax reasons it will be the post emergents plus a bit of glyphosate in case you have summer rains to deal with.
