I don't know the in's and out's or reasons for this character dumping his shares but I would think this could have been done so much better by his broker. Surely a offmarket x trade with a buyer could have been arranged on the day he wanted to get out at a discount to the closing price instead of pushing the price down to this level. Would have made him more money and we would have continued on our merry way.
As has been said before, long term no problem but it doesn't mean we have to like it.
