All fiat currencies are depreciating versus real money. Yes gold is sold in $US and daily fluctuations between currencies impact on local value. When the equities bubble bursts there is usually a rush to the safety of $US and of course if this happens the gold price in $AU will appreciate. Expecting another crash in the next few months and can't see Regis falling much more since it is already at the bottom. Increasing POG and drop in $AU should be good for local gold miners in general and when the economy recovers all our commodities.
