I'd love AEU to be a bit more clear with their announcements as the 6c dividend that pays 4c over the past few days seemed a bit silly to me. Perhaps you need to be a mind reader to have understood what they actually meant, but wednesdays announcement was misleading IMO.
Irrespective of what complexities in the dividend process i wasnt expecting a dividend at all and it is the correct decision to pay down debt. However, if declaring a 2c (unpaid) portion then surely that still means THIS dividend may be payable in a future date?
Can anyone tell me the difference between a decaring a 4c annual dividend for AEU and a 6c annual dividend (of which 2c is unpaid)?
Are they , or are they not the same thing? Why did they write this line instead of declaring no dividend? Is it all about reassurance that *we are operating well and you would have had a divi so don't worry*. Why didn't they just say that instead of these strange declarations?
No doubt they are reading this thread anyway ... lol
