It is interesting to note the new appointment of Francois Tumahai as a director of BRL. His extensive knowledge of the West Coast and sympathies with the regional economy are encouraging (backed by Ngai Tahu leaders). I would imagine the proposed shakeup of the Dept of Conservation might auger well for the long term interests of BRL.
