22 cents with GST ;-)
A bit of deja vu going on. Cast your minds back to June 2008 and HEG announced the HEGOB issue, different situation then though as sp was well beyond the then trading HEGO options exercise of 15c, so a good inducement to exercise early and get the HEGOB rights.
Similar thing back in April/May 2007 with HEGOA.
At the 2008 AGM HEG were given approval to place up to 30% of the share on issue at a price of at least 80% of the 5-day weighted trading price. That was only granted for 3 months from the AGM - they presumably had someone in mind, but the period came and went.
Just from vague recollection I think a company can place up to 10% of issue share capital without reference to existing shareholders.
What would be very significant would be a new cornerstone (potentially JV?) investor taking 10% at say 19-20c on the back of update announcements. That would underpin the sp nicely, perhaps a bit early for that but who knows and remember they recruited a new director with M&A experience last year.
Enough gazing into my rose-tinted crystal ball!
