The NTA your referring to is after the massive writedowns that have occurred over the last yr. There are already signs of recovery in the property market, and hence the NTA will increase along with the SP.
Thus, as the SP approaches the 88 odd cents, the NTA may be above $1 by then.
Gains of greater than 85% (capital) are expected over the nxt 1-2 yrs in my books.
Divvies are the reason some of the big banks acquire shares like GPT (for their sper funds) and the large buying power and volumes create swings in stocks like these. Divvies are extremely important atm imho.
But time will tell.
