"Many are hard working kids who just want to improve their own lives."
So let them do it in their own countries. There is absolutely no need for an Indian or Chinese to spend "a lot of money", to come all the way to Australia to become a hairdresser or a cook; they can do it where they are. It's an immigration scam and has been for many years.
It wouldn't surprise me to find out that organised crime is right behind illegal immigration with the full support of some compromised fool in our government.
