R, I'm originally from SA, domiciled in Vic for about 30 yrs. I would suggest anyone taking the piss out of WA hasn't been there. FANTASTIC place. Fully understand both sides of the argument, but cross border antagonisation has always pissed me off. We're Australians. 1 in, all in.I find the whole notion of WA seceding offensive.
Funding parity for ALL Australians is imperative, and an argument to be constantly discussed at a political level. While WA is contributing more than it's fair share of taxes at the moment, it's not always been the case, and if the current situation between China and Oz does not improve, there could be some real hurt coming in the not too distant future. Swings and roundabouts. All for 1, and 1 for all. I'd like to think we're a united nation, not a bunch of segmented lunatics.
