This is a small correction in the Voisey's Bay story - for the record. The Voisey's Bay discovery (made be Newfoundlanders ) was funded and optioned by Friedland's Diamond Fields and then was bid on and eventually acquired by the Canadian global mining conglomerate, Inco. Inco had been a Canadian mining giant and global force for over a century. In 2006, Inco was taken over by Vale - a Brazilian company, and so its assets (including VB) are now with Vale. The purchase price in 1996 was $19 B. Incidentally, at the time of the VB take-over, there had been a dramatic behind the scenes battle between Inco and a then less established Canadian company called Falconbridge. Curiously, the news of the Inco acquisition in 2006 came just weeks after their former competitor Falconbridge was acquired by Xstrata of Switzerland (now part of Glencore) in an $18-billion deal.

I have been holding Chalice since its Canadian days - well before Julimar! - and being a Newfoundlander, have been indulging Voisey's Bay type dreams for Chalice since the earliest Julimar days and I will be holding until well into our equivalent of the 'auction' phase. I read these forums regularly and want to thank those regular posters who keep the information and enthusiasm alive. I feel practically kin with most of you.

    GLTA!
