And here I was thinking it was for my birthday. Such a let down.

Just on the Vorago Phase 2.

If you spend some time reading about hardening of chips for deep space flight you will come to the same lay conclusion as myself that there is nothing technically difficult about hardening AKD1000 because it uses traditional technology that has been hardened before literally hundreds of thousands of times over the years.

What this Vorago Phase 1 was aimed at was coming up with a design that would allow them to use their patented Hardsil process to harden and AKD1000 chip. This process is cheaper and less time consuming than the old way of hardening chips. Unless the email posted on here was a fake then Vorago did come up with a design that would allow Hardsil to be used but even if they did not then AKD1000 can still be hardened by the traditional method.

The only information I can access about Hardsil comes from Vorago as it is their patented method but they claim anything that could be hardened under the existing method can be hardened by them using Hardsil so personally given the email and this information from Vorago and the fact that they are a company that has a history of working with NASA using the Hardsil process I have no doubt that Hardsil can be used with AKD1000.

So if NASA has a use case for AKD1000 arising from the EAP agreement being worked on at Ames logic dictates that Phase 2 might well be skipped and they could easily jump straight to Phase 3. Brainchip has a production slot at TSMC. If AKD1000 is to be hardened using Hardsil it is clear from Vorago's web site that it would be done at a foundry which in this case would be TSMC at the time of a normal production run so again in the absence of an announcement from someone nothing has yet been concluded or finalised.

I am still waiting for a credible announcement before writing off anything and in fact I see nothing but a little bit of disappointment that I did not get my birthday wish. The OTCOQ and related material was a nice gift and one which I received joyfully and without complaint.
