Far be it from me to be a wet blanket, but there is one stark difference between the CSL and IMU cases.

CSL was government-owned; you and I own IMU. The government of the day chose to sell CSL; today's government is in no position to determine IMU's future.

I, too, hope Imugene goes the journey and remains an Australian company - a very large Australian company. Personally, though, I doubt this will happen: Acquisition by an overseas pharma at some point is more likely than not. This would come as a very big windfall to the owners of IMU - yes, you and I again!

Let the market do what it will do, I say. I am opposed to government interference in private business, no matter how well intentioned.

Oh, and I realise I am furthering yet another thread. Groan.
