thank you for your reply. I agree with the need for big industry signings and/or billion dollar retail merchants. I am struggling to put my thoughts into words here...
SPT has agreed for merchants(in Australia) to charge the consumer fees charged for using the service.
"UnionPay has expanded to 180 countries and regions, covering 55 million merchants. Outside the Chinese Mainland, UnionPay is accepted at over 32 million merchants. Over 9 billion UnionPay cards (debit and credit) are issued in 68 countries and regions,...."
So what happens to the rest of the countries? Union Pay has expanded to 180 countries but only 68 issue debit and credit cards?
I just had a look at what other services UnionPay provides:
1)cross border remittance
2)study abroad service
3)global assistance service
4)VIP airport service
etc etc
