The former CEO placed the profit margin on IP sales at about 97%. Renesas is the third largest supplier of semiconductors to the automotive industry world wide.
Bosch who we all know sits as number 6 on this list of suppliers.
Renesas is not just about automotive though and if you take the time to look at its web site it does everything one could imagine and is big in the medical technology area where as Professor Marshall has stated over the next twenty years Ai in GP surgeries will replace external pathology services. All diagnostics will be at point of care.
Renesas is as I pointed out today an IP supplier to TSMC and thank you @BarrelSitter for posting the screen shot that proves his fact.
Renesas is by itself company making for Brainchip.
My opinion only but I have stated this before so everyone DYOR.
