according to Wikipedia Li-S has a demonstrated specific energy of 1.8MJ / kg. That equates to 500Wh / kg. This is about twice that of Li-Ion.
so your numbers seem very high, which is either an amazing technical achievement or they’re incorrect. I can’t tell.
I think the reported mAh/g in the announcement is deceiving and difficult to decipher for any comparisons. It’s probably deliberate for some secrecy or IP reasons. They have demonstrated the charge cycles with the information provided without giving anything more away about the technological abilities of the battery.
for the record, I only just made up the average cell voltage of 2.1v based on it being the middle of the range for Li-S cells quoted on the Wikipedia page.
