HI Semi... my view on Sepsis v Covid test is that Covid is getting Emergency Use priority and therefore was a shorter runway to commercial launch and therefore $$ in the bank for ADO... Sepsis by the look of it is not a test that is going to get emergency use as its not a Pandemic as such and cannot be transmitted.. that would mean a full program of Phase trials before launch which would mean ADO would require significant funds and a longer runway to commercial launch..
That said it is very sad as Roller points out that it is not really a focus given the death rate each year... even in first world countries..
I suspect once Covid tests are cemented in over the coming few months ADO will throw significant resources at fast tracking their Sepsis test for clinical trials.. it would not surprise me if they are once again ahead of schedule given they already have proof of concept..
