Missed todays podcast but I did catch up with a major shareholder the other day. The top 20 seems pretty stable so I was curious as to what their thinking is when at a retail level the whole thing looks crap. And it has for a while.
So he says CR is going to be replaced. Moving to the BVS side of the business. They are just trying to find the right person to replace him.
So as was sort of outlined in the 4C, this education section push is really gaining traction. They are hoping to have revenue from it in this quarter.
$1 per student per month, the Uni's are talking about bulk signing the whole student population, 40,000 students per Uni. Some are even talking about 12 months in advance payment! Even one or two Uni's at those sort of numbers would change this company forever.
Apparently Kerrie Campbell is really kicking goals. Last years Telstra business women of the year, she has achieved more in 6 weeks than they have in the previous year in the education space.
And apparently they are well progressed at getting into the Zoom market place, Webex next and less advanced with MS Teams.
Livetiles are waiting for Linius to develope the solution and not much progress is being made there.
Grafa is under resourced and no one is really expecting great progress there.
Swanbay is powering ahead, and apparently it is going very well with them. The new man in the UK is very motivated and capable. He only formerly started last week but has been getting under way before that.
John Wallace is making some very useful and significant introductions.
Of interest might be that the broker who did the report on Linius late last year and saw the SP hit 7 cents is doing an update. I understand it centers around this new progress in the education sector. Supposed to be out in the next week or two. From what I gather they went off and talked to the Uni's.
I understand the revenue from Racing has not increased because they have a high base level threshold, so even though uptake is increasing they have not yet breached the very high base level.
It was said to me they have cash till October, asuming no significant revenue influx!!
I don't know, you get off the phone and feel better. He was even talking about buying more, says they may never be this cheap again! (Heard that before)
But they still have to convert this potential into money...
And as we all know way too well, their results at that are very poor indeed.
He is holding at this point because he still thinks when this thing takes off it could be huge...
