My half a cent on this and I wrote it sometime ago is, we should expect big bucks due to low interest rates in the US. Japan’s near zero interest rate helps them make big global acquisitions which they write down very quickly over the next couple of years. A smaller return through M&A is better when the borrowing costs are very low. Hence they can justify big purchases. So watch out for the big M&A in all industries for the next few years.
