I know what they're doing. Buying wine from vineyards, holding it as inventory - and selling it to end consumers through websites. An integrated 4PL business model.
They're trying to build the number of vineyards, which attracts more consumers to buy their favourite wines online and presumably cheaper, which in turn should attract more vineyards (given they get such a small percentage of the overall pie). It's a nice idea, but we all know B2C is unprofitable, so therefore they're using this as a launching pad for B2B. However, this hasn't been released/isn't working - hence my reservations. It also concerned me that DW8 need a big player's volume for it to really work.
