Thinking about deaths in mining companies listed on the ASX.
Just as we set a flag at half mast or have a minute of silence for those we value, would it be too much for a company to cease trading in its securities for half a day as a sign of respect for its employee who dies through a workplace event? As shareholders, we are company people too.
I note that not only SBM but also AGG lost an employee in a work accident today. It should not matter if the employee lives in another country. Their lfe is precious to an eternal God, just as much as our own.
