I am a holder of IMA who is a mineral sands producer and was just reading on a few other mineral sand developers /
producers and come across this thread and your post Funktime. Let me tell you good management operating a company this size should have plenty of time for investors. The management of IMA have given me so much time over the last 18 months i think my knowledge of mineral sands generally and the operation of the company specifically have increased 10 fold. They are a great investor centric Management team . I try and have contact with all small caps i invest in, the smart arse attitude I have found from some are often a precursor to bad operational management, perhaps because being a good operational leader comes with great communication skills and humility. Anyways , don’t ever excuse management who are unwilling to talk to shareholders who have market caps sub 300m IMO.
I recently called to speak to a CFO of a company I was about to invest in. Day 1 was told he was away , day 2 in meetings, Day 3 meetings again and I told his assistant I would love to know what a CFO of a company of this size does to be in meeting two days running and has no time for a prospective shareholder - within 15 min of hanging up the CFO called . It’s a sad reality some of these guys simply have tickets on themselves , often unwarranted
