Charts certainly provide no protection from a gap up, likewise holding stocks in a clear downtrend can also produce poor results.
Yes we all know you own a few CER from about 2.3 cents that you haven't sold, well my next holdings in CER will be for free (purchased with previous profits), so lets hope for your sake the charts don't gap down.
A falling CER price reduces your current gain & increases my purchasing power, so it cuts both ways if you want to criticize.
