So if the results are adequate then I guess the next step will be to go get regulatory approval. I read that in the States the FDA can take about 8 months although apparently there is an alternative, quicker route referred to as a De Nova classification. Also it seems, after the FDA process there is also a process with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services which if not successful can derail things.

(as is likely obvious, I'm fairly new and fairly half-baked with regards med-tech but where I can I will attempt to contribute. And as for bigbozo's "If you know, you know" yeah, nah mate that is not how science works.)
