Chinese government leaders have suggested that they will move to clamp down on high commodity prices, including iron ore. The government has drafted a five-year plan to slash China’s reliance on iron ore imports by investing in new mines and seeking supplies from Russia, Myanmar, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
