I'm guessing people sell because they have lost confidence in the company and its ability to deliver. Sounds like a fair reason to me, especially when many are no doubt managing their investments based on what the company tells them. It may be as simple as regular comms to keep shareholders informed. Unfortunately, it took a sh*t storm for them to realise that.
