So the week before the capital raising, shorting in ROC rises from about 5% of daily turnover to 20%. Funny that.
We all know who curtseys to organised crime at the big end of town.
Now on Monday after the trading halt, shorting is up to 48.5% of turnover.
Why would this occur. I could understand the lucky placees selling off their shares, but why would this be short-sales ?
Is it perhaps that the parties with previous short positions, who got shares in the placement, make new short sales to re-establish their short positions ?
Or are the instos who didn't get any from the placement, selling off their holdings to depress the shareprice just to annoy the other instos and prevent them getting stag profits ?
Or has market manipulation for the SPP pricing started already ?
What is the explanation for monday's huge shorting in ROC ?
