survey in july

The latest announcement out from PPP is at first reading a little alarming ...."operations..are currently underway to plug and abandon the well" (Red Emperor).

But that is just what was planned to be done anyway while further appraisal work is carried out.

That is largely going to involve a 3D seismic survey with the intention that should happen this month !

Interesting to note that the 3D seismic will not only be on the Red Emperor discovery to define the resource potential of it but will also include adjacent structures to see if they could provide additional potential.

So we will need to wait till the seismic survey is done before they can make an adequate appraisal of the discovery and hopefully put some figures on the size of the resource.
