Get onto Paritech and ask them for the Metastock formula primer - it's a step-by-step guide to learning how to write in the metastock formula language. It is very simple to use and very useful - even I seem to be able to write simple formulas - my problem is that working my way through it is on my todo list and I haven't got there yet.
