LOM, the diamonds never arrive, page-22

I have learnt something new today, thanks Cridz. So you are saying diamonds are basically throughout a pipe, top to bottom.
Lets say , Lom takes a bulk sample down 5 to 6m from the surface approximately, yet over the millions of years maybe 9 to 10m of dirt has moved over the top of the pipe. How do we know how far down to go? Is the overburden now homogeneous.

I would think the same ground has several drill holes with some very up to date sampling techniques.

It really seems to be needle in a haystack, yet we have all the modern technology....
Rock-licking must be harder than I thought.
