Just thought i should send a warning to people who purchase
goods through the Hot Copper website.
I have purchased a number of items through HC.
And to me they all turned out to be what they claimed to be.
The problem is in the postage, from overseas, a email (text),
arrives advising you that incorrect postage has be paid, and you
need to make a payment of $1,00.
They require you to fill out their online text giving your credit/debit card details.
This is the scam, if you fill out and send your details the amount could cost you
$1,000.00.
They place a comma after the number one, not a dot, so the amount can be varied
up to a thousand dollars.
This might be old news to you folks, but new to me.
I never send my details to anyone, i go through a service provider.
Just saying.
