In fairness, the pattern exists in nature, so if you believe that humans are evolved from lifeforms in general, then there may be some merit in the idea that human emotions can be reflected by such numbers. Just look at distributions of human behaviour on a bell curve, for instance.
I'm not a big follower of fibs on charts but I find the underlying idea fascinating.
