Also IMO I believe it is not by chance that BHP is dropping its Indonesian coal assets (valuable ones at that) and has already dumped nickel assets. I believe BHP is firmly focused on Fe now and also I find their increased interest in uranium interesting.

I believe they will be seeking large resources of Fe. SDL would fit nicely.

Just speculating but this concept would give a huge return to the likes of Talbot (and Jones et al) and an easy means of offloading large amounts of shares. Without the need to sell at market which would be disruptive to the sp and not in their respective interests (or ours).
