Mr Dattels is a senior mining executive with extensive experience in founding and financing mining projects internationally. He is currently the Executive Chairman of Polo Resources Limited, - a mining and exploration group focused on investing in or acquiring and developing advanced stage uranium assets. Among mining ventures he has founded is UraMin Inc. an African based uranium developer of advanced uranium properties which was sold in July 2007 for $2.5 billion to Areva, the French government-owned fully integrated uranium company.
Mr. Dattels was the Chairman and founder of Caledon Resources Plc, an AIM-listed Australian coal producer and Chinese exploration company, and was the co-founder and Managing Director of AIM-listed Oriel Resources PLC, a developer of nickel and chrome assets in Kazakhstan.
Mr. Dattels is currently Co-Chairman of Regent Pacific Group Limited, a public company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and of Emerging Metals Limited, an AIM-listed company whose principal asset is the ownership of shares in Kalahari Minerals Plc.
Mr. Dattels is also a director of GCM Plc, an AIM-listed company, which has an interest in the Phulbari Coal Project in Bangladesh, and Berkeley Resources Ltd, an ASX listed company, which is a developer of an advanced uranium project in Spain.
Mr McFadden is a qualified lawyer with extensive experience in the energy and resources industries. He has a combined law / commerce degree from the University of Melbourne and a Masters of Business Administration from Monash University.
Mr McFadden worked as a solicitor in the Melbourne and London legal departments for Rio Tinto for many years and is currently a Commercial General Manager in the Exploration Group based in Melbourne. He has extensive experience in dealing with mining exploration and development projects. He has broad experience dealing with junior mining companies, governments and other stakeholders in mining projects around the world.
Most recently he led the sales process for the Kintyre uranium project in Western Australia.
Before his employment at Rio Tinto he spent five years in private legal practice and has also worked as the General Counsel and Company Secretary of Pacific Hydro Limited.
