Companies are allowed to pay dividends from the sale proceeds of a business or business asset.
Unless you've been hiding under a rock for years, or been doing the exact opposite spending all this time out in the midday sun, MHI has both a footwear and a textile business in the USA.
MHI has plenty of cash currently, but that doesn't mean it's a cashbox.
You won't be able to purchase MHI stock for under 1c based on this announcement, so do your sphincter a favour and give it a rest.
