Jellyroll : you've made interesting observations but I'm not sure how to interpret them.
For example, when talking about my own situation, I didn't say that NEU shares were managed by a trustee company on behalf of a fund in which I have an interest (all completely legal of course). I would expect other shareholders to make share-holding arrangements to optimise their circumstances.
