My 2 cts worth: The company is of the view that Blue Diamond's conduct and enforcement of terms is against conscience as judged against the norms of society, is particularly harsh or oppressive and clearly unfair and unreasonable (and its not hard commercial bargaining by BD). Of contention is the high fixed price charge for BD's almond base. Perhaps BD could command premium prices 2-3 years ago when its base is a prized rarity as almond milk is just taking off. Today the big boys are in on the almond action: Sanitarium, Vitasoy, Pure Harvest, Bonsoy and Coles and Woolies home brands. Coles/WOW are probably sourcing at cut-throat prices. For all we know, there could be an oversupply of almonds / almond base suppliers? Why can't FNP be allowed to source at market rates? And the next big thing is? It's not almond milk - its oat milk.
