Yes not all directors can afford to convert their options without selling some heads. The market is normally understanding of directors selling to convert options, where the market gets rightly upset is when directors sell just to line their own pockets at the top of a big ramp.
As I have mentioned here many times before RAC is a speculative company and anything can happen. Nobody should be investing more than they can afford to lose if the worst was to happen. It is better to regret not buying more (like me with CHM) than regret ever putting a cent into a company.
