I am involved in santitizing public spaces at the front line of potential COVID cases. Yes, we have seen overseas, large volumes of sprays being emited into the air and on surfaces throughout numerous cities.
But consider this. Let's say you have a room with a concentration of SARS2 floating around, and you give the air a spray with a Glenn20 type aerosol. What are the chances of killing all the virus, even with a direct spray in the direction of the virus?
Little !
To fathom this you have to consider the miniscule size of the virus. It is betwen 50 to 140 nanometres. A nm is 1 billionth of a metre.
Relative to the size of the virus, the space between droplets of an insecticide aerosol is about the size of a football field.
You can spray as much as you like into a virus filled room, but the chance of getting a significant kill rate, is like shooting flies with a water pistol in the entire mallee on a hot summers day.
Goodluck with that.
