Politics has become a very dirty battle and, with the public funded ABC on the side of Labor, the Greens and the Woke brigade, the Government doesn't want to give the opposition any more ammunition than necessary. You can see it working already on HC with the dirt bag now being directed at Morrison. Who's next in their sights?. One Nation ?

Personally I find it somewhat unsavoury, politicians suing for defamation. I think it's because they tend to deliberately tell half truths at best and winning a settlement rewards them for that deception. IMO.
