Nice pickup jim.
The article in NT News was a followup on an article in the latest issue of 'Territory Quarterly', a NT govt. publication by the Department of the Chief Minister. The article appears on pages 10-13.
NOTE: The Territory Quaterly is a 9.11MB PDF File, to download click on the link below).

Great to see the NT Govt continuing to be farsighted with, enthused about, and supportive of, MAK.
The article in the 'Q' is entitled - "BARKLY BONANZA", an very apt description for what awaits LT holders, IMO.
Interesting to read the following in the 'Q' article:
'The phosphate will initially be trucked to a proposed multi-user rail hub to be built independently by railway specialist Bill Gibbins of Global Port Solutions. Designed to attract other bulk handling clients, Minemakers will be the $10 million hub’s foundation customer. Construction is soon to start on the 6km long, 3km wide siding located 15km outside Tennant Creek. “I thought that we could provide one central common user facility where mines could come in and get on the rail,” explains Gibbins. “We found the site and will put the basics in. Then we’ll see what happens from there.”.......'
Some tidbits to take note of:
Who is Bill Gibbins?
Mr. Bill Gibbins, Former Owner and Managing Director of FCL Interstate Transport. Retired in June 2007.
Apart from involvement with Global Port Solutions, Mr. Gibbins is also a Non-Exec Director of ATEC Limited, the company undertaking a feasibility study of the proposed 'Wonarah Railway' under the MOU with MAK, announced on January 9 this year.
In MAK's June 11 announcement:
'Wonarah Rock Phosphate Project Development Progress Update', it was mentioned on page 3 that:
'Work on the ATEC JV railway feasibility study continues. Preferred route alternatives have been identified and the first stage of the study should be completed shortly.'
Well it's now July 8. Hopefully with the BON takeover taken care of, we might hear more of the Wonarah Railway soon.
Cheers to all.
