Actually - I think that advantage extends even further in regards to word of mouth / recommendation based distribution. Because of Sphygmocor, hospitals will recognise CDX as a BP company, not a consumer tech company (apple / google). For this reason, hospitals and medical practices who want accurate data would end up prescribing or recommending these devices - this is a hard to emulate distribution channel: how do you argue against the world best? Apple / Google don't have the medical weight to persuade medical experts on what device to recommend. The desire for data by medical professionals could be a real accelerator.
